The Stats

Or "I shouldn't really be looking at them, but they're at the top!"

Well I was just looking at my new my20six overview and noticed the Stats at the top of the page. Now I was re-decorating the blog, along with some great help from Sammy and Kat.
I'm thinking that maybe Sammy could do her own blog/"Changing Rooms"-style show. Possible called something like "Changing Pages." Who knows?
Anyways, yesterday before I left work my stats showed that I had no more then 100 views. Which I thought was impressive. Although I'd put a bet on at least half of these views being from moi and exepct not to lose any money at all.
But looking at my Stats this morning shows I had 469 visitors for the whole of yesterday. Which means that either there was a massive rush for people to see my fatasitc card sent from fabulous Zoolady, or there was a lot of refreshing of the my blog to see if I had put the sock monkey in teh Navi Bar correcctly.

Either way, at least to myself I look popular - which is a first.

The Blog

Or "well its moi first day here. just seein what this bugger can do."

I was just at the station on my break. When I bumped in to Elvis. Although it was like a middle aged Elvis. He even had Elvis like sunglasses on. I tried to take a photo of him but I found it difficult to aim my phone over my shoulder and get a good shot.

Work, can be at the best of times, very slow. When I've exhausted all my favourite websites I find it hard to pass the time. Although I do now have a new hobby. One way to pass away the slow hours in work is definitely to go through the "Metro People" classifieds with the work colleague. Trying to persuade the work colleague to call up the persons in the ad. is even more fun.
In fact it's now a mission to get him to call at least one girl on the classifieds.

Also allow moi to part some good advice on to you all. If, by chance, you happen to spill some tea or any other drink on to your desk. The one think you don't want to use to wipe it up, is of course the newspaper.
This is for two reasons.
First, most importantly, it means you no longer have anything to read at your desk to pass away the time.
Secondly, most noticably (sic), it leaves a huge black streak across your desk where you have wiped. Arse!

The Quiz

Or "He's be-bopin' and scattin' and i'm losin' it!"

Just a quick note to start off. Is anybody elses stats going really crazy? I know the other day I was talking about how I had 400 or so, but that was put down to re-decorating my blog and refreshing the screen.
I was going to comment about how the same happened to my stats yesterday. I left work with just over a hundred and ended the day with 546.
But looking at my stats this morning I already have 522 vistors today.
If anyone would like to have a go at explaining the reason why, I'm sure I can find a surprise for you. Most imaginative answer wins.

On to my entry...
So yesterday moi and housemate M had dedcided to go the pub. It's been a while since we had been out together. It's been a while since I'd been around the local. It was nice to get out and stretch legs. I have found that Chapel Allerton is very lively in the Summer. This is something that I'm really looking forward to embracing. But until I can do that - i.e. not until after my room is furnished, I decided that a quiet night at the local, with remaining housemate to see how badly we can do at the pub quiz was in order.
On the way up to the 'Regent' we walked past a very nice car. Now I'm not really found of cars. I mean the car that I want to own once I pass my test is, as I may of mentioned at some other point, the Capri. I've seen nice sports cars drive past when walking through the city. They grab my attention for a split second. Although this coud be down to just the noise they make.
But this car was parked up outside a Thai restaurant. It give moi the opportunity to snap a few picks. I think I may ask the Capri to move aside for this American 'Muscle Car.'
Car
Broom Broom. Anyone know what make this car is?

While at the pub we met up with a few friends. The majority of which were female. Inbetween the quiz questions the topic of conversation jumped from giant pie's, to wanting to force feed giant pie's to skinny friends and then I found myself joing in a conversation on...moisturising*. And I thought at the time "Yeah, this is about right." What else would I want to discuss in a pub?
I really need to get myself some male friends, and fast.

Our team, "Wilde Weeeest Hero's" came joint first, along with two other teams. The quiz master dude hadn't counted on this happening and had no tie-breaker. It was decided that the 12 drinks vouchers were to be past equally between the three teams. I ended up getting one free drinks voucher. Yesssss

I was thinking also about shaving whilst watching the tv the other day. I've been shaving, my face, no not the whole face just where the beard grows, lately which is something I haven't done for about 3 years. Yesterday I got a few cuts and I put this down to havnig a bad razor more then anything. So when I was watching tv an advert for leg wax strip things for girls came on. Maybe the girls can help out with the brand name, it's the one that talks about being a waxing virgin. And it got moi thinking;
Would it be possible for moi to wax my face with these strips?
Is this a good idea or bad idea? How much will it hurt? Will it work? And woudl there be any side effects?
And when I say side effects I don't mean the growing of an extra arm or verbal diarrhea, but like a huge rash.

I'd also like to quickly discuss an article I read this morning.
Dawn, from Big Brother, is on a hunger strike. As far as I know it has somethign to do with wanting to get back videotapes of her time in the Big Brother House. Now the way I see it, is she was kicked out for "communication with teh outisde World." Something about a 'secret code' from her friends and family to warn her that she is getting a bad press/being talked about.
So Dawn has come out and want's to clear her name. Show she was betrayed wrong. Which is fair, except the newspapers weren't giving her a bad name. The housemate's were backstabbing her either. Well not anymore then they were to any other housemate, excluding Shebang.
You kind of get a better idea of this story by reading the friends' quote at the very end of article;
"She kept telling nurses she wouldn't break the hunger strike. All Dawn wants is justice and wants all the footage of when she was in the house so she can prove she was not a cheat or smelly."
Not a cheat and not smelly? Not really Ghandi is it.

*I'd like to add, I want to place the blame for this conversation on the shoulders of Zoolady. Aswell as giving moi a really wicked card also went moi some moisturiser products. Maybe she thinks I'm gay?

The Doldrums

Or "Maybe the dingo's ate your baby."

Well 20six has been pretty quiet today. So quiet infact that I've cleared out some closet space in my "Images" section.
Could all this quiet front on 20six be caused by the wonderful weather we are having?
My guess it has something to do with the "DNS" problems that were occuring when the platform changes. This resulted in many people's blogs not showing on the bloglist.
Which is a realy shame.

Yesterday I decided to hand in my winning free beer voucher in to the "Regent" and claim my free drink. I was hoping to hit the beer garden and to chill out for a bit. But when I got there I was surprised to learn that the beer garden in the Regent is very small, and very full. Bad timing really.
So now I have to start looking for a whole new pub now that sports a find beer garden. Arse! I hate looking.

Well at least good weather is expected this weekend. Which is going to work well with my weekend plans with Zoolady. Thankfully, despite not having seen her for a week, zoolady has agreed to go watch the footy on Saturday. I'm very lucky indeed.
I hope everyone else takes full advantage of this wonderful weather we've been having of late. And the great atmosphere around the uk too (Thats if England do win - Ed) Make sure you do something this weekend, even if it jsut a walk in the park.

In other blog news, I'd like someone to design a button for moi for my "Retro Mullet" category.
This category is home to links that I've featured that I felt were worthy enough to be put in a "Hal of fame." Also in there you'll find "Sammy Spot's." So if anyone has a good idea, or even an image, just place the image/link in the comments or email it to moi.

Best one can be graffitied on the wall by the redneck above.

And if any of you decide to take the opportunity to do a bit of gardening this weekend, please dont do as this chap did and drown in a lawnmower accident.

The Growing Pains

Or "It was never this hard when I was a kid"

Quote of the weekend

While out with Zoolady at the weekend, I was asked by some 10 year old and teenage brothers to complete some level on a racing game for the Sony PSP.
After being told about 18 different buttons to make the car go I was then off racing round the track.

Zoolady's random kid relative: You're rubbish!
Moi: I keep hitting the walls, I cant see. It's too bright.
ZRKR: Go inside!
Moi: Where's the inside button?
ZRKR (with look of disbelief): NOOOoooo! Go inside the house.
