ding dong the witch has gone
So London. Capital. In England. Where I was this weekend.
As per previous posts I was sent to London by the nice folks at work for me doing such a grand job. And apart from the Chelsea game, it was fun.
Travelled to London in style. Well in first class. First connecting train to Manchester had quite an amusing incident where a 'rude boy' (my friend, Em, who I was with enjoyed calling him this. Basically think So Solid Crew video reject). Also our reserved seats on the train from Manchester to London we were informed by a very unpleasant woman from Manchester that not reserved due to a technical error on train. Em then decided to call everyone in her phone book to let them know we were leaving for London and, in a loud voice, a stuck up arrogant woman had taken our reserved seating. Which made me smile all the way to London.
The hotel was right inside Leicester Square, which was really handy.
Sunday night, after our warmish all you can eat buffet, was spent walking around Soho trying to find a bar. We couldn't find a single one. Where are these bars hidden?
Spotted: Girls Aloud and Ashley Cole being papped at the rear of the Hippodrome.
We found somewhere called MaiTai where we were charged £13 for two drinks. So left straight after.
After spending too long finding a bar we went to the one place I wanted a Kodak moment, "G-A-Y." Where we had a ball.
Monday was spent doing a load of sight seeing, have some photos, will try and upload the best in a couple of days. But was let down by the annual maintenance works on the Millennium Eye.

We asked a few bar staff who all said walk down soho, theres loads of bars. I think this was a ploy of some sort to make me come back and hunt down these elusive bars. |
